Idle Worship

Idle Worship is the musical alias of Nathan Panousis, a multi-disciplinary artist whose creative work spans music, tattoo, murals, and painting. His musical performances feature his own original music and a sound he calls “dream bass” — an ethereal, melodic style inspired by the soul of rave and infused with his unique artistic perspective.

Nathan has been an active member of Canada’s dance music community for more than a decade. He spent years in Toronto’s early bass music scene as a resident at the legendary Bassmentality club night, associated with Zeds Dead. After returning west, he created Residents, a party series showcasing Western Canadian talent through live events and video streams.

Today, Nathan teaches DJing and music production at Night Vision Music Academy (NVMA) in downtown Edmonton while continuing to contribute to the Western Canadian rave scene through his music and visual art.
